The trilogy continues with this salvo of “In the Spirit”. Since the first book, “Breaking Silence” was well received; the reader is allowed to take a more intimate glance into my innermost thoughts through works like “Mirrors of Myself” and “Loving the Skin I’m In”. Also, in this second book, the reader is taken on a journey through expressions from the soul which presents an expressive and creative mixture of spiritual awareness and self-actualization. Stepping outside of lyrical poetry, each expression takes on a rhythm of its own while traveling the dimensions of emotions. The abstract imagery combined with portraits of language and verse as displayed in “I Believe” and “Collectively Claiming Victory” brings this collection to life. These strong, passionately written and thought provoking expressions are meant to engage the reader’s heart and mind.
